Job Description
Roles & Responsibility
Installation and Maintenance:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
Inspection and Troubleshooting:
Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety codes.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to determine the layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Install and maintain grounding systems.
Testing and Certification:
Test electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
Issue certificates of compliance for completed installations.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and engineers, to plan and execute electrical installations.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide solutions.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and addressing any concerns.
Emergency Repairs:
Respond promptly to emergency calls and perform repairs as needed to minimize downtime and ensure continuous electrical service.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical technology.
